We’re Open! What that means for you…

As of May 8th, we have officially reopened our doors and are welcoming back our customers! While we are open, things are going to be different for the foreseeable future. Even though we are extremely excited to offer this small sense of normalcy and help those feel their best, there are things that we are going to be strictly implementing. This is an unknown and a first for our business and our customers. We ask that you please be patient, understanding, and adhere to the guidelines we set in place. In this blog post, we are going to be discussing what reopening looks like and how we are asking our customers to adhere to our new policies. Keep reading to learn more!

First off, it is important to note that all of these requirements we are setting in place are coming from the CDC and TDLR and being set in place by the State of Texas Executive Order. All of these are legally required by law and unfortunately we will not be able to serve you, unless you adhere to these policies.

Preparation

As of right now, we are only taking clients with scheduled appointments. To schedule an appointment, you can either contact us directly, or book your appointment online! If you have an appointment scheduled and have been displaying flu like or Covid-19 symptoms, or have been around others who have displayed these symptoms, we ask that you do not come in and that you reschedule your appointment.

Typically, we do have our normal cancellation policy but we are currently waving the 24-hour cancellation policy. This does not mean that you can do a no-call no-show though, all clients who have scheduled appointments who do not show up without notice will be charged for their scheduled service. We also ask that any person who does not have an appointment show up to your appointment with you as a guest. Most of the time we do not mind if you bring someone else to your appointment with you but for now, we ask that you come alone. If you bring children or guests, we will be asking them to leave.

Arrival

When you arrive at our salon you will be required to wear a mask. We will also have hand sanitizer outside in addition to a health acknowledgement waiver. We will also be using a touchless thermometer to take your temperature before you enter the salon. No matter what, if your temperature exceeds 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. We also ask that you wait in your car or outside until the exact time or your appointment.

Once you have been cleared to enter the salon and fully checked into your appointment, you will be allowed to enter into the salon. Please keep social distancing from others around you. You will be required to wear a mask at all times while you are inside the business. Your mask must have earloops, since masks that are tied around the back of your head will interfere with your hair service. We ask that you bring your own mask. Our salon only has a limited supply of masks and primarily those should be used by our employees or those who do not have access to masks. We also ask that you wear your mask so that it covers your nose and mouth.

Other Procedures

As we mentioned above, we will be requiring you to wear a mask and maintain social distancing practices (six feet apart) while you are in the building. Once you have checked out and have exited the building, we ask that you wear your mask until you are inside your vehicle. Please also only bring what you need into the salon. We ask that you limit yourself to a small handbag that can fit into your lap. While we usually offer beverages to our clients during their services, we will not be doing that for the time being. We will also be removing any magazines to help avoid excess touching of other materials.

Our staff will be thoroughly sanitizing their work areas and tools in between each client. We will also be requiring our staff members to be checked daily with temperature checks to make sure that everyone inside the salon is safe. Common areas, door handles, and restrooms will also be routinely cleaned and sanitized. We will also be using EPA approved cleaning products during this time. Our number one priority are our clients. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time. If you have any questions regarding our new procedures or want to schedule an appointment, please reach out to us! We are so happy to be back up and running and can’t wait to see you all!
